Is it better to work out in the morning or at night?

Is it better to work out in the morning or at night?

I have heard that it is better to work out in the morning because it gets your body charged and burning calories throughout the day, but then I have also heard that it doesn't matter. Is there any real scientific evidence as to why I should really push myself to workout in the morning, or it is more of a personal preference?
