DAY 5: 'Getting Fit with T1D" Workout Challenge

Day 5! Getting this far is a HUGE accomplishment, these workouts are tough. Especially the 100s challenge yesterday. Don't worry, a nicer workout is coming tomorrow. Also, today's workout is a cardio blaster (which is a good thing, no more squats or at least). :D

But sersiouly, you are doing an amazing job! I love all the support and the encouragement for each other. Together, we are getting fit with T1D.

I've seen many of you post your beautiful CGM graphs from consistenly adding these workouts into your routine. I love it! If you don't know what I'm talking about, and you want to be a part of the support, you can join the friendly "Getting Fit with T1D" FB Group.

So today's workout...are you ready for Frog themed. Yes, you heard me. I know it is a little nutty, but these Frog workouts are incredibly effective for pumping up that heart rate, revving up your metabolism for an extended period of time, burning massive calories, and they help build lean muscle (which helps with better blood sugar and decreases insulin resistance).

Here we go...This is a ladder workout.

Ladder workouts work up in reps then back do 5 reps of each exercise, then 10, 15, 20, 15, 10, then finally 5 again. That's it. How fast can you complete this challenge? Share with the FB Group. I promise you are going to feel awesome after this one (well, after you catch your breath...).

The Frog Ladder WOD

5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 15 - 10 - 5

  • Froggers
  • Frog Bridges
  • Frog Leaps
  • Frog Sit Ups
  • Frog Jumps
  • Frog Crunches

NOTE: Want a little more?? Make 25 reps your top ladder instead of 20 (i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5).

If you are feeling really good, add 1 mile of interval sprints, or just 10 min of cardio (you choose).
